Toddlers & Tiars Reaches a New Low

Toddlers & Tiars is a show on TLC that focuses on parents who dress their children up in ridiculous outfits, force them to learn a talent and then pressure them to perform in tyke-based beauty pageants around the country. In other words: there's very little high ground to be found anywhere on this series. Yet the reality program has still managed to reach a new low, airing a promo this week that focuses on Paisley, A THREE-YEAR OLD CONTESTANT, who is dressed like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, i.e. a prostitute. Toddlers & Tiaras Promo Rages the Parents Television Council in response: "We have a serious problem when a network formerly known as The Learning Channel features a toddler, who probably hasn't even learned to read, dressed as a prostitute showing off her sexy strut. "For years we've seen adult sexuality being inappropriately and aggressively foisted on innocent young children, but children today are being sexualized at younger and younger ages.
